Abstract

This paper extends the discussion of intra- and ex-tra-sub-Saharan Africa's export performance. It starts with commodity-wise and destination-wise analyses and explores the public policy challenges and opportunities. In the spirit of stimulating further discussion, specific public policy suggestions are offered to improve sub-Saha-ran Africa's overall export performance. The paper concludes with some remarks and implications about the region's export performance and directions for future research.
