Abstract
In today's digital age, university students seek comprehensive platforms that transcend basic functionalities to enrich their academic, professional, and social experiences. Inspired by this need, we propose the development of UniConnect, a dynamic web application utilizing the MERN stack. UniConnect serves as a centralized hub offering a plethora of features including user authentication, profile management, event management, job placement, real- time notifications, resource hub, project collaboration tools, peer tutoring, career assessments, and more. This paper outlines the phased development approach undertaken to realize UniConnect's vision, culminating in three distinct phases: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced versions. Each phase incrementally enhances the platform's capabilities, focusing on functionality, usability, and user engagement. Evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the UniConnect platform in meeting the diverse needs of university students, fostering collaboration, networking, and personal development. Through UniConnect, we aim to revolutionize the university experience, empowering students to thrive academically, professionally, and socially.
