Abstract

Some physical education teachers may envisage a typical physical education lesson as intense, active and involving purposeful movement. To these teachers, the use of digital technologies in physical education may not invoke an image of students being active. Hence, they may be deterred from truly embracing all the possibilities of a technology-enabled lesson. The purpose of this chapter is to support teachers in their journey to discover what digital technologies they can use to enhance student learning in physical education, in the context in which they are teaching. It explores how digital technologies enhance pedagogical considerations and support students’ learning as they work towards achieving identified goals.
