Abstract

<h3>Study Objective</h3> 3D modeling of uterine fibroids allows for preoperative surgical planning and patient education, as well as intraoperative fibroid identification. <h3>Design</h3> This video demonstrates utilization of 3D uterine modeling to assist a robotic assisted laparoscopic myomectomy. <h3>Setting</h3> Community Hospital. <h3>Patients or Participants</h3> 35-yo with pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding - heavy menstrual bleeding, secondary to uterine fibroids <h3>Interventions</h3> robotic assisted laparoscopic myomectomy. <h3>Measurements and Main Results</h3> Successful myomectomy of >20 large bulky fibroids performed through minimally invasive technique. <h3>Conclusion</h3> 3D modeling assists in patient education and surgical planning. It helps to minimize number of incisions to remove fibroids, thus decreasing trauma to the myometrium and improving efficiency. It also helps intraoperatively with fibroid identification to ensure complete fibroid removal.
