Abstract

Many external commands and functions are currently available, as shareware and public-domain freeware, that extend HyperCard's scripting language, HyperTalk, in various innovative ways. This article illustrates how HyperCard stacks designed to facilitate foreign-language learning can benefit from the use of such externals. Their installation in HyperCard stacks is demonstrated and a list of mailorder firms is provided from which they may be conveniently obtained.
