Abstract

This research chapter delves into the emerging realm of artificial emotional intelligence (AEI) and its integration into human-computer interaction (HCI). As digital technologies become increasingly intertwined with daily human activities, the necessity for more intuitive and emotionally responsive interactions with computers is paramount. This study seeks to bridge this gap by exploring how AEI can be leveraged to enhance HCI, thereby improving user experience, satisfaction, and efficiency. The chapter begins with an in-depth literature review, tracing the evolution of HCI and the burgeoning field of AEI. It scrutinizes various theoretical models and empirical studies to establish a foundational understanding of AEI within the context of HCI.
