Abstract

The demand for home recording spaces has increased in the past years. They vary in terms of privacy, comfort, size, audio quality, budget, type of materials, acoustic treatments, types of usage and equipment. Although it is hard to unify the concept of “home studio,” there are certain architectural acoustics criteria that should be considered in order to guarantee the use of the space for creative and technical purposes. This paper analyzes different cases to demonstrate how home recording is enhanced applying these architectural acoustic principals.
