Abstract
Reading comprehension plays an important role in students’ performance and needs to be enhanced in the Industry 4.0 era. Reading without good comprehension is meaningless because comprehension is an absolute fundamental for reading activity. With respect to this fact, teachers as facilitators in Education 4.0 need to facilitate students to enhance their reading comprehension using learning strategies. One of the solutions to solve poor reading comprehension of EFL students is a metacognitive strategy. This study aims to discuss the use of metacognitive strategies to enhance the reading comprehension of EFL students in Education 4.0.
