Enhancing educational process by development and testing of information and measurement system software based on virtual computer simulators

Abstract

Problem.The proposed article summarizes the results of a study conducted by the authors in order to find the ways to improve the educational process using the latest developments in the field of software. The article outlines the introduction of simulation-virtual simulators, built on the basis of virtual measuring devices and virtualization methods as a way to improve the educational process, increase the efficiency of using promising forms of vocational training. Goal. The objectives of the research are to substantiate alternative ways to improve the fleet of measuring equipment through the development of virtual measuring instruments and increase the efficiency of the educational process through the development and implementation of virtual computer systems. Methodology. The research is based on the analysis of traditional methods and means of measurement and the proposal of an alternative solution to the problem of virtualization of the measurement process. Analysis and evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional measurement methods and tools have proven the viability of virtualization. Results. Based on the results of the research, the proposals were developed for the construction of virtual computer simulators based on virtual measuring instruments. This approach will not only provide high-quality education through visualization of educational processes, but will also allow the creation of new virtual computer systems for distance learning as a necessary form of obtaining knowledge in the modern world. Originality. The developed software package is a complete and self-sufficient software product, which includes an installation module adapted to most software platforms. Practical value. The introduction of virtual simulators built on the basis of virtual measuring instruments and virtualization of measuring processes was identified as an appropriate form of increasing the effectiveness of vocational training.
