Abstract

Amino-silane functionalized graphene oxide-ordered mesoporous silica nanocontainer was synthesized to load corrosion inhibitor benzotriazole, and the synthesized two-dimensional composite was named as fGS-BTA. Its compatibility and dispersion stability in sol solution was prominently reinforced by amino-silane functionalization. Meanwhile, amino-silane as pH-driven “nanogate” suppressed the premature leakage of inhibitor, which endowed fGS-BTA nanocomposite the stimuli-responsive release under alkaline condition. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of intact and scratched sol-gel coating filled with fGS-BTA nanosheets showed the enhanced barrier property and the active protection capacity.
