Abstract

Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) are getting more and more attention for their unique optical properties such as high photoluminescence quantum yield, narrow emission spectrum, and adjustable emission wavelength. However, PQDs, especially, CH3NH3PbX3 PQDs have very poor stability due to their easy decomposition by water and oxygen in the air. Herein, we grew nano-sized CH3NH3PbBr3 PQDs in situ within a kind of micro-sized metal-organic frameworks (Bio-MOF-1) to obtain MOFs-protected PQD composites (PQDs-Bio-MOF-1). The MOF protection only enables the PQD composites to maintain the fluorescence characteristics of PQDs, but also obviously improves the stability of PQDs in the air, showing promising application in light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
