Abstract

The possibility to extend the speed range of direct servodrives with PMSM via field-weakening realization is one of the perspective ways to increase equipment productivity without additional capital expenditure. In the study a novel approach on the optimization of PMSM dynamic field-weakening control for servodrive is presented. Using of the presented enhanced dynamic model control improves the conduction losses while preserving the exact tracking precision. Simulation results showed significant reduction in conduction losses -in order of 30% in comparison with conventional dynamic field-weakening-depending on the motion profile.
