Enhancement of Security using Various Web Development Frameworks

Abstract

From the past analysis by various organizations, it has been observed that during the web development phase, the developers didn’t invest much of their focus on the security of the product which resulted in its break-down and gave rise to the vulnerabilities; ultimately defeating the user’s trust. A simple way to overcome the vulnerabilities is to use web development frameworks with past records of good security tracks. This paper aims to provide concise information about web development, its uses, about various frameworks, and threats to web development and websites. The paper presents a collection of work to the best of our understanding by highlighting the role and importance of web development, followed by its drawbacks and threats of web development. Further the paper presents the best practices that should be considered during the development phase of the product and how these efforts can be reduced by using web development frameworks. Finally, the paper confers about the vulnerabilities of WebApps and websites, how to overcome those and their mitigation, followed by the issues and challenges which serve the purpose of future scope and enhancement.
