Abstract

The power protection of individual consumer in a country is ensured through the system of electric power distribution. Therefore the system of electric power distribution should provide power in a reliable manner. The term reliability is well coordinate with quality of power in the distribution system. It is very much important to maintain the power quality in power distribution system for continuity of service. The power quality problem mainly arise in the distribution system are the harmonics, voltage sag, swell and power variations. In this paper, the power quality improvement in wind power distribution system is considered as the intention. The improvement is fulfilled with FACTS compensation devices DTATCOM and DVR. The agent system is considered for the proposed work, which means a switching device is used and it compares the output signal of DVR and DSTATCOM. From the comparison the best control signal is selected. The realization of the proposed work is exemplified with existing technique and proved.
