Abstract
This paper represents the modeling and simulation of various FACTS devices like static var compensator(SFC), static synchronous compensator(STATCOM), thyristor controlled series capacitor(TCSC), static synchronous series compensator, (SSSC) and unified power flow controller(UPFC). Also thereby analyzed the performance of such devices for improvement of power transfer capability and real & reactive power compensation. Here the flow of real and reactive power have been studies by the implementation of FACTS controllers. These analysis have been carried out for an uncompensated system and then for a compensated system using these FACT devices. These simulation results demonstrates the performance analysis of each of the FACTS devices for the enhancement of power profile of the system. All the experiments have been performed using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
