Abstract

High entropy perovskite oxides (HEPOs) have received increasing attention due to their appealing photocatalytic activity. Considering their excellent ferroelectric properties used as energy storage capacitors, it is promising for HEPOs to exhibit remarkable pizeo–photocatalytic properties. Herein, (Bi0·2Na0·2Ba0·2K0·2La0.2)TiO3 (BNBKL) HEPO powders were prepared by the traditional solid–state reaction method to demonstrate the advantages of HEPO in the piezo–photocatalytic degradation of organic contaminants. The results evidence that the BNBKL HEPO has excellent catalytic activity compared to traditional piezo–photocatalysis, which is fundamentally based on the high–entropy–induced band structure reconstruction and severer lattice distortions, shedding light on a viable and universal strategy for substantially enhancing the catalytic efficiency of piezo–photocatalyst.
