Abstract

The effect of carbon nano tube (CNT) additive on Se85Te10Ag5 glass has been investigated in regard to the electrical and thermo-physical properties as well as mechanical behaviour. The current versus voltage (I–V) measurement and thermo-physical properties (effective thermal conductivity and effective thermal diffusivity) as well a microhardness of [(Se85Te10Ag5)100−X(CNT)X](X=0.3 and 5) glassy composites have been carried out at room temperature (R.T). The results indicate that the electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of CNT additive Se85Te10Ag5 glassy composites are enhanced as compared to Se85Te10Ag5 glass. The mechanism of conductivity enhancement has been given in terms of formation of percolation network of MWCNT in glassy alloy.
