Abstract

In this study, it was proved that the light-stability of bis(2,4,6-trimethyl benzoyl) phenyl phosphonate(BAPO) and isopropyl thioxanthone(ITX)-based photocurable materials was improved by adding the solution mask (E)-1-cyclohexyl-3-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)-prop-2-en-1-one(E-CPP), which was resulting from the BAPO/ITX light absorption inhibition by E-CPP's wider absorption region and larger molar extinction coefficient. In addition, BAPO/ITX can be reactivated to absorb light for photopolymerization when E-CPP fades under high-intensity irradiation of LED@405 nm. The relevant mechanism was finally verified and proposed.
