Abstract
ABSTRACTMicrowave sintering of Y2O3-2wt.% ZrO2 has produced microstructures which yield mechanical and thermal properties that differ from those observed in commercially sintered Y2O3-2wt.% ZrO2. This paper discusses mechanical and thermal property data obtained on samples of Y2O3-2wt.% ZrO2 heated using 2.45 GHz electromagnetic radiation.
