Abstract
The research described in this paper evaluates the implementation of a new method of quality control in continuous flow processes. Specifically, the kalman filter is introduced as a technique which is not dependent upon the traditional assumption of independent data. The application, utilization, and evaluation of the kalman filter for small order processes (specifically, AR(2)) are provided. Small scaled prototypes indicate that initial results are promising and should be the basis of future research endeavors.
