Abstract

Abstract The enhanced Imbert–Fedorov (IF) shifts of light beams carrying orbital angular momentum by lossy mode resonance (LMR) are investigated. The LMR can be excited when horizontally (H) or vertically (V) linearly polarized incident beams reflected by a three-layer structure composed of glass, ITO, and surrounding medium. The IF shift is generally a tenth of the incident wavelength. While it can reach 51 μ m for | l | = 1 with λ =980 nm when LMR is excited. And the IF shift could be increased to ∼ 290 μ m for | l | = 15 . These findings provide a powerful method in the control of IF shifts, thus have applications in quantum information, optical sensing, and precision metrology.
