Abstract

In the present work, a CoMoO4/r-GO hybrid was synthesized via a simple hydrothermal process. The phase purity and chemical binding energy were studied by powder XRD and XPS analytical techniques. The surface topography and internal morphology of the CoMoO4/r-GO hybrid were tested by FE-SEM and TEM analysis. The EDX elemental mapping was confirmed by the presence of Co, Mo, O, and C in the CoMoO4/r-GO hybrid. The CoMoO4/r-GO hybrid electrode material delivered a high specific capacitance of 556 F/g compared to 396 F/g (CoMoO4) at a current density of 0.5 A/g. The life cycle stability of the CoMoO4/r-GO hybrid exhibited 97 % and 95 % of columbic efficiency and capacitance retained over 1000 charge-discharge (GCD) cycles at a current density of 10 A/g.
