Abstract

The demand for electric vehicles (EV) has increased to solve the problems arising from fossil fuels. Additionally, renewable energy sources (RES) are added to the charging station to meet the escalating power demand. Thus, solar photovoltaic (PV) is used in this work to meet the power demand. To track the maximum available power from the solar photovoltaic, the Hybrid Leader Optimized (HLO) Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is proposed. However, the battery scheduling in EV is still a concern in the grid connected charging station. Hence, an Enhanced Chimp Optimization Algorithm (ECOA) based Factional Order Proportional Resonant (FOPR) controller is proposed in this work for optimum scheduling of battery. The controlling parameters of FOPR are optimized through the ECOA based on minimum error. The proposed work is performed on Matlab/Simulink platform, and the results have proven the efficacy of the proposed method.
