Abstract

In this study different catalysts are synthesized based on ZSM-5 and ZSM-11 zeolites. Tetra-n-butyl ammonium bromide and 1,2-phenylenediamine are used as organic solid directing agents. The effect of template on catalytic activity are compared and the results show that1,2-phenylenediamine can promote the catalyst performance efficiently. The synthesized catalysts are characterized using X-ray diffraction, SEM and EDX. Catalytic activity of synthesized zeolites is studied in tetradecane cracking. The experiments are carried out at atmospheric pressure and T = 200 °C. TiO2 and CeO2 are improved tetradecane conversion and yield of products. Also, the butanol as a co-reactant increases tetradecane conversion significantly. The highest conversion percent about 53.4% is shown for CeO2-ZSM-5 at tetradecane to butanol mass ratio equal 10/3.
