Abstract
Ignition and gasoline injection systems even in its simplest form, which represent electrical system produced voltage waveforms in a form of pulses in complex shape. For the diagnosis of these systems is necessary to use such diagnostic systems, which allow to record these waveforms for next analysis. Diagnostics of ignition systems by diagnostic systems allows measurement of primary and secondary high-voltage waveforms. Diagnostics of gasoline injection system by diagnostic systems could be used voltage and current check during injection system operation. This contains measure of quantity information which could be applied in On Board Diagnostics. Experiment and simulation represent important form of object teaching. Programming environment of LabVIEW and Matlab allows adequately evaluate the waveforms to obtain a comprehensive overview of the examined system based on the simulation analysis. In the presented contribution we deal with possibilities of analysis and investigation of waveforms, primary and secondary circuit fully electronic ignition systems for teaching of automotive electrical engineering. By application of different educational techniques, students gain additional experience in using new modern measuring methods. New forms of measurements improve education of students and their preparation for practical measuring task.
