Abstract

Internet and its endless possibilities for information processing and distribution have been acting as a catalyst for the growth of open access initiatives. In the recent years, open access has gained scholarly literature over the Internet. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a service that provides access to quality control open access journals and has extensively helped the researchers by providing visibility to important aspects of their work. Open access journals are scholarly journals that are available to the researchers and scientists through online platforms which are devoid of financial, legal, or technical barriers.
