Abstract

BACKGROUND We intended to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of preventive measures followed against Covid-19 infection among pregnant women attending the antenatal clinic at K S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore. METHODS This cross-sectional study was conducted among the pregnant women attending antenatal clinic at K S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, from July 1st 2020 to August 31st 2020. A validated questionnaire was provided to the patient. It consisted of 2 parts, demographic data, and 25 questions regarding knowledge, attitude, and practices. RESULTS Among 202 participants the overall knowledge, attitude and practice scores were 90.64 %, 97.33 % and 98.8 % respectively. CONCLUSIONS Majority of pregnant women demonstrated good knowledge, positive attitude and good practice regarding Covid-19 pandemic.
