Roberts, vice president of CH2M Hill. He defines sustainable development as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Roberts was one of the keynote speakers at the summer national of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), held last month in Seattle. Waste minimization and pollution prevention are sustainable development concepts at the forefront of chemical technology.
