Abstract

With the development of the power electronics technology, the power supply system of radar directly affects the performance of the radar. Higher reliability and security of electronics units in the radar array brought forward stringent requirements for its power supply system. In this paper, a large airborne radar power supply system with output power of 100kW is designed and implemented by using the layered and fused power supply architecture of centralized rectification and decentralized voltage stabilization. The output voltage, current, power consumption and temperature of the power supply system can be monitored through the network in real time to ensure that the system works in a normal state. The design of each component of the power supply system, such as the distribution unit, the rectifier unit, the DC/DC conversion unit, the capacitance module and so on, is introduced in detail. The scheme of the power supply system has good reliability, high security, and easy expansion, which offers important reference to the design of other radar power supply and distribution systems.
