Abstract

In her letter inviting me to ke one of the plenary speakers at the Southern Sociological Society, President Rebecca Adams asked me to speak about my own experiences in engaging the public in sociological dialogue through the media. She stated that although you might want to disCUSS the consequences of your dialogue, I would like you to emphasize its process. This I am happy to do.
