Abstract

Introduction: In 2023, the WHO defined as the theme for World Patient Safety Day "Engaging patients for patient safety" and the slogan adopted by SOBRASP was "Let's make patients' voices heard." Objective: To describe the actions carried out on World Patient Safety Day at HC/Unicamp by the teams "Effective Communication" and "Safe Medication". Methodology: This is a descriptive study, type of report of experience, and was carried out at the HC/Unicamp. Results: The action developed jointly by the teams was very well received by the patients and their family members. It is estimated that more than 150 people were reached. The places where the actions occurred were outpatient clinics, ICUs and wards. Informative folders were delivered that reinforced the importance of patient engagement for their own safety and participation in their own care. One of the folders brought a QR Code for access to the "Patient Portal HC Unicamp". A board game was used as an interactive game of questions and answers about safe medication. Conclusion: The proposal to work together the teams of "Safe Medication" and "Effective Communication" was essential for the success of educational and interactive action in commemoration of World Patient Safety Day. The WHO Theme/Slogan helped teams to bring information and guidance to patients in a clear, objective and dynamic way. The images registered on the day of the action prove the receptiveness and interest of the participants.
