Abstract

The heart disease induced by cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, is increasingly being seen as a prevalent disease, and as such it needs to be taken into account for its appropriate follow-up, prevention and treatment. Previously, this research group published the review, “Chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity from the molecular basis to the clinical perspective”, which included a review of the different aspects, including the pathophysiology, treatment, and prognosis of heart disease induced by radiotherapy.
