Abstract

Millimeter wave (mmWave) massive MIMO system considers the hybrid precoding scheme because of its low cost and low power consumption. Fully-connected architecture which requires high phase shifters tend to more energy consume. On the other hand, sub-connected architecture consumes less energy compare to other. For more energy efficiency, the hybrid precoding scheme which is based on successive interference cancellation (SIC) is considered. We use this SIC based schemes to exploit green communication aspects for large antenna arrays through different wireless channels, e.g., Rayleigh, Rician, Nakagami-m, and mmWave. The simulated result exhibits the high energy efficiency of SIC scheme compare to other conventional schemes.
