Abstract

A feedback-based coding algorithm is studied for broadcast packet erasure channels (BPECs) with energy harvesting receivers. The proposed scheme probabilistically chooses data queues of the transmitter and implements network-coding so as to maximize a desired weighted sum throughput of receivers. Since the receivers harvest energy from the environment, a charging time is provisioned before each course of transmission and is accounted for in the calculated throughput. Gains of the proposed scheduling are demonstrated by simulation results.
