Abstract

AbstractKinetic parameters of singlet and triplet states of a polymer having pendant anthracene groups were investigated in solution using a mode locked laser spectroscopy. The lifetimes of the two transient states and the rate constants of the bimolecular quenching by oxygen were measured. The experimental data allow the problems of energy transfer between oxygen and triplet or singlet states to be discussed. In some cases, direct evidence is given for a migrational process of singlet energy.
