Abstract

The absolute intensity and the energy spectrum of gamma rays of energies greater than 10/sup 12/ ev were obtained from a study of the electromagnetic cascades in a stack of pure nuclear emulsion exposed at 106,000 feet. The experimental gamma spectrum before and after detection probability corrections is displayed and compared with Kidd's results. Spectra above and below 10/sup 12/ ev were normalized at this energy.
