Abstract

The energy spectra of autoionizing and scattered electrons due to excitation of the 4p6 subshell of rubidium atoms by electron impact were measured. The experimental and theoretical analysis of the obtained spectra was performed. Three metastable states of rubidium atoms were found and their basic parameters were obtained. The excitation energies and classification were compared with the data of other authors. Keywords: atom, autoionization, excitation, energy-loss spectra.
