Abstract
An effective interaction obtained from the Hanada-Johnston potential is used to calculate shell-model spectra for the 1p-shell nuclei. Two parameters are varied with A: the harmonic-oscillator size-parameter, and the single-particle p 1 2 − p 3 2 energy splitting.
