Abstract

Wireless energy transfer (WET) is an attractive so-lution to prolong the lifetime of conventional energy-constrained network. Since radio frequency (RF) signal can convey not only information but also energy, simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) was proposed. One of attractive applications of SWIPT is wireless powered relaying (WPR), where the relay is powered by RF signal. In this paper, we propose two-way WPR where all nodes are operated in full-duplex mode. To this end, we perform the energy signal design and devise the way to decode information from the SWIPT signal. We maximize and compare the sum-throughput of the proposed full-duplex two-way relay with that of half-duplex one.
