Energy Production: Hybrid Power Generation. Meeting Future Energy Needs

Abstract

While climate change is being debated by the scientific community, as to whether it is a natural cycle or a condition influenced by mankind, nothing is being attempted to replace coal as a primary source of energy production. It would be advantageous to assume climate change is influenced by man. If it is not, a new power generation system will be needed in future years, after coal is depleted, to a point it becomes unviable to be used as a primary source of power. This style, of energy production outlined in this paper; is a viable alternative to produce energy; it can compete on an equal basis to coal- fired power stations both in start up price and the amount of energy that can be produced. The process is a hybrid mix of solar energy and potential energy of a suspended mass, this mass is considered as a mechanical battery with a storage capacity of eight or more days, with an output of ten meg at line infusion voltage. Solar panels are more efficient when their temperature is kept low, outlined below, a new type of solar panel is outlined, the concept is to bury the solar panel and feed photons using optic fibre.
