Abstract

The effect of the atomic density of the rows and planes of a tungsten crystal on the dechannelling behaviour of 0.5 MeV protons is discussed. The inclusion of these density effects in an integral dechanneling model is presented. Measurements were made which when compared with the calculations demonstrated the validity of the theoretical approach.
