Abstract
Energy levels of 151Eu and 153Eu were populated by Coulomb excitation with 12 MeV alpha particles. Alpha particles scattered at 110° and 145° were analysed in a magnetic spectrograph. Levels were located in 151Eu at these energies: 195, 313, 511, 580, 604, 718, 775, 810(?), 900 (multiplet), 963 and 1106 keV. In 153Eu levels were located at 87, 194,487(?), 572, 627 and 717 keV. Reduced transition probabilities were also determined. The level energies are consistent with new (α, α'γ) and (d, d') data, but a clear interpretation of excited levels of the europium isotopes has not been established.
