Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the issues of development of mining and manufacturing industries and energy consumption growth. Objectives. The article aims to develop strategic recommendations to reduce the energy intensity of some regions' economy, taking into account the potential for the region's development. Methods. For the study, I used various methods of statistical data processing. Results. The article finds that technological and production factors have an impact on reducing the energy intensity of industrial regions. Conclusions. When making decisions aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the region's economy, it is necessary to take into account both the growth rate of the volume of shipped goods of own production and the specifics of energy consumption in the region.
