Abstract

Technology advances allow us to design smart home system for the purpose to achieve high demands on occupants' comfort. In this research, we focus on the thermal comfort control (TCC) system to build an energy efficient thermal comfort control (EETCC) algorithm, which is based on the cyber-physical systems (CPS) approach. By optimizing the actuators; air-conditioner, window and curtain, our proposed algorithm can acquire the desired comfort level with high energy efficiency. Through the raw data from experiments, we evaluate and verify our proposed algorithm in the cyber-physical home system environment by using MATLAB/Simulink software.
