Abstract

Implementation of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) with energy efficient network routing has remained a persistent research issue over the years as, it is of prime importance to implement a sensor network with maximum lifetime. In this paper, we present a bio-inspired heuristic route optimization scheme named Dynamic Cuckoo search algorithm to find a sensor node with optimal fitness function corresponding to maximum residual energy to cover and route the data from a Point of Interest (PoI). Simulations show the effectiveness of our algorithm and confirm that our proposed scheme outperforms existent conventional technique such as, Ant Colony optimization.
