Abstract

Designing energy efficient delay aware communication networks become an inevitable trend due to change of data traffic types. In this paper, we present an energy efficient and delay aware competitive power control in interference limited wireless networks. To achieve this goal, the utility function is defined as the ratio of effective capacity to power consumption which is termed Effective Energy Efficiency (EEE). Then, a non-cooperative game for power control algorithm is proposed. It is shown that the considered power control admits a Nash equilibrium (NE) which is guaranteed to be unique. Our analytical results show that NE has the same structure of spectral efficient design but with a different threshold. Furthermore, our simulation results show that our energy efficient game achieves EEE gains relative to spectral efficient game.
