Abstract

This paper focuses the problems of self-interference cancellation (SIC) in single cell massive MIMO full-duplex system. Based on the current research, some traditional SIC schemes are difficult to be applied in massive MIMO full-duplex system since these schemes require the instantaneous channel state information (CSI) of self-interference channel (CSI-SI) but the instantaneous CSI-SI is unable to obtain in massive MIMO. In addition, the other feasible SIC schemes without the instantaneous CSI-SI will reduce the system energy efficiency significantly. Therefore, we propose a energy efficiency optimization based SIC scheme (EE-SIC) without the instantaneous CSI-SI, which can eliminate SI effectively and improve system energy efficiency simultaneously by the energy efficiency optimization algorithm. The simulation result demonstrates that the proposed EE-SIC scheme is not only able to eliminate SI effectively for improving the sum achievable rate, but also improve the energy efficiency significantly compared with the self-interference cancellation scheme without energy efficiency optimization. Furthermore, it can make the uplink and downlink achievable rate both increase with the number of users uniformly.
