Abstract

We discuss the effects of quasiparticle energy dependence of the normal density of states on the Eliashberg equations in the case of high- T c superconductors and compare the numerical results with our recent tunneling experimental data in Bi 2Sr 2CaCu 2O 8+χ with T c = 93 K. We also consider the possibility of quasiparticle energy dependence of the electron-phonon spectral function α 2(Ω)F(Ω) and calculate its effects on the superconducting density of states.
