Abstract

An energy dependence of pulse height defect is observed above 100 MeV for fission fragments of the same mass. The method used involves the measurement of the correlated energies and velocities of the fission fragments from 235U, by using a time-of-flight technique with Si-surface barrier detectors for the fragment detection.
