Abstract

The investigation of the low-lying states in Sn isotopes with 50 < N < 82 in the collective Hamiltonian based on the PC-PK1 density functional in Li et al (2012 Phys. Lett. B 717 470) is extended to using other popular density functionals DD-PC1 and PC-F1. It is found that the enhanced collectivity in neutron-deficient Sn isotopes can also be reproduced by other density functionals, and the proposed microscopic mechanism does not depend on the choice of functionals. Moreover, the collective Hamiltonian has achieved an overall successful description of the excitation energies of low-lying states in neutron-deficient Sn isotopes.
